Summary

The seven kids who bonded in Mr。 Terupt's fifth-grade class are now in eighth grade, reunited with their beloved teacher, and vow to make the year as memorable as possible。

Jeffrey, Alexia, Anna, Danielle, Luke, Peter, and Jessica are thrilled to have their beloved teacher, Mr。 Terupt, back for the school year--this time as their biweekly adviser。 They still rely on him for guidance in all things, school and life。

When Mr。 Terupt reveals what his plan is after the school year ends, the students hatch bucket-list type projects to show their appreciation for him in order to make the school year important, memorable, and way bigger than just the group。 Will the gang stick together down to the final project? Will their friendships endure after the difficult goodbye?

I was so excited to hear that there was ANOTHER Mr。 Terupt book。 I read it in just a couple of sessions, and I was not disappointed。 It was just as good as all the others! It has also been several years since I read the other Terupt books, and I was a little afraid I would not be able to remember, or be able to get right into it, but I had no problems at all! Man, I wish our kiddos had a teacher like that。 Just one!

Sad to see this series come to an end。 These books have wonderful characters。 The idea of writing from the viewpoint of many characters makes such an interesting read! I highly recommend all the books in the series。 I would also recommend reading the series in order。

I loved reading about and learning with The Gang。 This final part in the series didn’t bring anything new though。 It felt rushed and forced。 Moreover, some of the antics of tge children seemed so far-fetched…。what 8th grade boy would pull down his pants in the principal’s office with no one else present to prove he didn’t have a scar on his gluteus Maximus? I don’t regret reading this book, but it could have been much much better, or not written at all, as not much is added to the story or the d I loved reading about and learning with The Gang。 This final part in the series didn’t bring anything new though。 It felt rushed and forced。 Moreover, some of the antics of tge children seemed so far-fetched…。what 8th grade boy would pull down his pants in the principal’s office with no one else present to prove he didn’t have a scar on his gluteus Maximus? I think this one was pretty good, almost as good as the first in the series。 I enjoyed the bucket list plot because it gave a nice series of big events throughout the book。 I think this whole series was a bit weird on timing。 Something big would happen, and then the month would change before they mentioned it again, which means that it took weeks for them to follow through on the actual events, and that seemed quite unrealistic。 I think this whole series was pretty good, and this book closed it I think this one was pretty good, almost as good as the first in the series。 I enjoyed the bucket list plot because it gave a nice series of big events throughout the book。 I think this whole series was a bit weird on timing。 Something big would happen, and then the month would change before they mentioned it again, which means that it took weeks for them to follow through on the actual events, and that seemed quite unrealistic。 I think this whole series was pretty good, and this book closed it up nicely。 。。。more

This is the final book in this series。 I so wish they would write more。 I love this gang of children & their teacher。 These children are so much like most friends, from different backgrounds, some religious and some not。 Some from divorced homes, single parent homes and some from a two parent family。 They all have different things going on in their lives。 It’s a great book for true children!

A nice ending to the series!

Good book to end the Mr。 Terupt series。 Overall, I enjoyed the book。 What I didn't like, is the repetitive "cliffhangers"。 All。 The。 Time。 I get the Buyea is trying to make suspense, but come on, don't tease us too much。 I also disliked how Jessica was limited to poetry。 Good book to end the Mr。 Terupt series。 Overall, I enjoyed the book。 What I didn't like, is the repetitive "cliffhangers"。 All。 The。 Time。 I get the Buyea is trying to make suspense, but come on, don't tease us too much。 I also disliked how Jessica was limited to poetry。 。。。more

A part of me thought this addition to the Mr。 Terupt series was unnecessary—I loved the ending of Saving Mr。 Terupt and I felt it wrapped up the series nicely。 That being said, this fourth book was lovely。 The lessons of growing up present within this series are so important and are taught beautifully。 I have my qualms with a couple of the messages—mostly involving Peter and his misogynistic beliefs—but other than that these characters are so well-done and their friendships with each other and t A part of me thought this addition to the Mr。 Terupt series was unnecessary—I loved the ending of Saving Mr。 Terupt and I felt it wrapped up the series nicely。 That being said, this fourth book was lovely。 The lessons of growing up present within this series are so important and are taught beautifully。 I have my qualms with a couple of the messages—mostly involving Peter and his misogynistic beliefs—but other than that these characters are so well-done and their friendships with each other and their beloved Mr。 Terupt are beautiful。 This series highlights the ups and downs of growing up, and played such a vital part in my childhood。 Lots of love goes out to this series。 <3 。。。more

While this wasn’t my favorite of the series, Rob Buyea still tugged my heartstrings and gave me a pretty great gift of 400ish more pages with some of my favorite characters in all middle-grade literature。 He made it clear that they’re middle school kids now, with the occasional “PG swear” as I like to call them。 So while I wouldn’t read this one to my classes of 4th or 5th graders, I would happily recommend it to them as they continue the journey to middle school, too。 Luke’s final “project” was While this wasn’t my favorite of the series, Rob Buyea still tugged my heartstrings and gave me a pretty great gift of 400ish more pages with some of my favorite characters in all middle-grade literature。 He made it clear that they’re middle school kids now, with the occasional “PG swear” as I like to call them。 So while I wouldn’t read this one to my classes of 4th or 5th graders, I would happily recommend it to them as they continue the journey to middle school, too。 Luke’s final “project” was what really got to me, and I’m fully signed on to read maybe some novellas of future events with “The Gang”。 。。。more

Goodbye, Mr。 Terupt!I’m going to miss this series。 I loved all of the kids and their unique voices, and of course I loved Mr。 Terupt!! The only thing I will warn you about for this book is that there were a few swear words, which haven’t been present in the earlier books。Ages 13+

I started reading the Mr。 Terupt books when I challenged my 4th grade class to read 40 books in one school year。 I loved the characters and how they bonded with their teacher。 I think that is what every teacher would like, to make a lasting difference in his or her students’ lives。 While these books are written for middle grade students, they are also inspirational for teachers。 Thank you for writing these Mr。 Buyea! I am going to miss Mr。 Terupt。

I absolutely love this book! I got it off of Amazon and read it all in one sitting! It is a great story for kids, but I think anyone would enjoy reading it。 The ending is kind of sad, and I wish I could find out more about what happens to the characters, but it does finish on a pretty good note。 This book is probably my favorite out of the Mr。 Terupt series。

Jaycee

A really sweet ending but not as good as the others。

Not the best of this series, but I still enjoyed it。

Istg I will never get tired of this series。 This book was such a perfect ending to the series。。。。like it somehow managed to make my heartbreak but not actually break in the same time。 Although they were some parts of book that didn't exactly classify as kids appropriate like the infamous photocopy prank but other than that I loved the book。 I will actually be really sad if this series doesn't continue however I am pretty sure any of Rob Buyea’s books will be a delight to read。 Istg I will never get tired of this series。 This book was such a perfect ending to the series。。。。like it somehow managed to make my heartbreak but not actually break in the same time。 Although they were some parts of book that didn't exactly classify as kids appropriate like the infamous photocopy prank but other than that I loved the book。 I will actually be really sad if this series doesn't continue however I am pretty sure any of Rob Buyea’s books will be a delight to read。 。。。more

My 11 year old grandson and I read previous Mr。 Terupt book and loved them。 This one not so much。 My grandson had me stop reading it to him 3/4 of way through, saying he didn’t like the more mature themes。 Indeed all the 8th graders were in boyfriend/girlfriend relationships。 He wasn’t interested。 If these books are geared to 8-12 year olds, I would think many would not be interested in that。

Daniela

My daughter read and loved this series。。 I read the books after her then we would discuss them。 Wonderful series that led to some thoughtful mother/daughter conversations。 Great book series for tweens。

All the feels for the final Terupt book。 Such a great read aloud to my 11 & 12 year old。 I even think it influenced my son joining the wrestling team!

I read this in a day。 I loved it that much。 I truly didn't want to put it down。 It was probably my favorite in the series。 Probably even more than the first just because you get to know Mr。 Terupt even more。 I'm sure Mr。 Buyea is done with this series, but I seriously want more。 Thanks for sharing these great characters, Mr。 Buyea。 I read this in a day。 I loved it that much。 I truly didn't want to put it down。 It was probably my favorite in the series。 Probably even more than the first just because you get to know Mr。 Terupt even more。 I'm sure Mr。 Buyea is done with this series, but I seriously want more。 Thanks for sharing these great characters, Mr。 Buyea。 。。。more

THANK YOU ROB BUYEA FOR THIS FINAL BOOK!!!!😆😆😆😆😆When I first spotted this book in the library I got SO excited to read it! The drawings really connect with what's going on in the book, and I loved flipping back and forth during scenes to see what object symbolizes what。Before I conclude, I would like to say that I think there should be a book about Hope when she grows older, like her experience in 5th grade with new characters。 I think it'd be cool and new。Thank you again Rob Buyea for this nostalgic book! I wish I could've given you a better rating, but this book is low for my level and I have to stick with my feelings currently。 Keep on writing, and I suggest to everyone to read the first book, even if it is low for your level。 It is amazing! 。。。more
